Boaz Noy
Boaz Noy is an Israeli artist born in Haifa in 1972, who lives and works in the city, drawing deep inspiration from the urban environment. His oil on canvas paintings are characterized by vivid color, layered texture, and a sensitive exploration of what it means to exist within the city – not from a distant viewpoint, but through movement, proximity, and direct engagement with the street and local landscape. His work investigates the tension between everyday reality and an almost dreamlike interpretation, balancing urban documentation with intimate emotional expression.
Noy is a graduate of the Architecture Department at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, and his architectural perspective is evident in his precise sense of space and the complex relationships he constructs between structures, nature, and light. He is the recipient of the “Artist in the Community” award from the Ministry of Culture, and has exhibited widely in Israel and abroad. In his paintings, the city becomes a central figure – a place of encounter, memory, and inner quiet within the intense rhythm of urban life.
