Gil Shmerlin

Gil Shmerlin, a graduate of Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, creates light sculptures and objects in which material and light merge in a deliberate tension. His work operates at the threshold between functionality and experience, examining how an object can shape the atmosphere and feeling of a space. Rooted in movement, rhythm, and surface, his practice blurs the boundary between object and environment, transforming light into a spatial gesture.
